Worcestershire Community Wellbeing Peer Support

The Peer Supporter Service has been specifically designed to help people to make the change of progressing from secondary to primary care mental health services as easy and as seamlessly as possible.

The service  offers additional support alongside the clinical support of Gateway Workers in the Worcestershire Healthy Minds team. It does not replace any clinical services. Onside provides this service in Worcester, Malvern and Bromsgrove.

Onside’s Peer Supporter Service offers comfortable, relaxed and friendly support. Specially trained volunteers who have experience of what it is like to have lived with, or cared for someone with, a mental health condition will explain how it works, talk through what to expect and ask what you might like to get out of it. The Peer Supporter Service can offer one to one and/or group support.

They can help with the next steps on the recovery journey by giving short term support. This aims to increase self-esteem and confidence; help to manage any anxieties in moving forward;  improve your wellbeing and help you to build stronger connections with what’s going on in the local community.

We can offer one to one and/or group support.

Onside is seeking volunteers to help us provide this much needed support to people experiencing mental ill health.
